Want to make an impact in our community while cycling around Downtown Atlanta? Then join us for Cycling for Good on the last Sunday of every month at Noon in front of Loose Nuts Cycles in Grant Park. This amazing social initiative led by Damon Elmore aims to provide fresh fruit, personal care items, and other essentials to Atlanta’s homeless. We invite you, your friends and family to join us at this month’s Cycling For Good.

Got a question about Cycling for Good? Check out the FAQs below. If you still can’t find your answer, feel free to contact us via our contact page.

Q: WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF CYCLING FOR GOOD?
A: The initiative is simple – it is a way of getting fresh fruit, healthy snacks, personal care and other items to the men and women we pass each time we bike. It is my shot at micro-philanthropy. I understand, this is not a new concept and certainly tons of good programs out there focused on feeding and supporting the homeless. This is our attempt at trying…something.

Q: WHAT DO I DO ON THE RIDE?
A: We bike. We make stops. We pass out the kits/items. We learn a name and or story. We genuinely care. We head back.

Q: CAN I RENT A BIKE TO RIDE WITH YOU?
A: Rentals are available through Kind Bikes as well as Relay Bike Share. If interested in renting from Kind Bikes, make sure to fill out the rental application at least 72 hours prior to that month’s ride.

Q: WHAT ITEMS ARE NEEDED MOST?
A: We can always use fresh fruit (oranges, cuties, etc. are helpful). It would also help if we had some additional tuna packs, or other hearty and portable equivalents. Trial sized/personal care items are also greatly appreciated.

Q: REMIND ME, HOW LONG IS THE RIDE?
A: Our longest ride to date was only 11 miles and that included some bonus riding down the BeltLine. Even then, the day only lasted 90 minutes. You have 90 minutes.

Q: CAN I MAKE FINANCIAL DONATION?
A: Yes, you can make a financial donation through Kind Bikes. Just click the button below, and make sure to note in the memo that your donation is for Cycling for Good.
